Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about collecting and creating on Mintelier.
What is Mintelier?+
Mintelier is a curated Ethereum-based marketplace for high-provenance digital art. Artists mint original works and collectors buy, bid on, and re-sell them with on-chain royalties.
How do I fund my wallet?+
Open Wallet from the Account menu, claim your unique deposit address, and send ETH from any external wallet or exchange. Once confirmed and approved, your balance updates automatically.
How does minting work?+
Go to Mint, upload your artwork, set a category, royalty (3%–20%) and optional sale price. A small mint fee is deducted from your wallet. Your work appears in your Collection immediately.
How do bids work?+
When you place a bid the amount is held in escrow from your wallet balance. If the seller accepts, ownership transfers and ETH is released. If rejected, withdrawn or outbid-resolved, your funds are returned in full.
What are royalties?+
Every secondary sale pays the original creator a percentage (set at mint, 3–20%) automatically — no manual claim required.
Why do I need KYC?+
KYC unlocks higher withdrawal limits and protects the marketplace from fraud. Submit your documents from your Profile page; reviews typically complete within 48 hours.
How do withdrawals work?+
Request a withdrawal from Wallet with your destination ETH address. Requests are reviewed by our finance team and sent on-chain. You'll receive a notification with the transaction reference.
What is the unique ID on each artwork?+
Each minted piece carries a 6-character Mintelier ID shown in the golden sphere on its detail page. Use it for provenance lookups and authenticity checks.
Is my session secure?+
Sessions are stored locally and refreshed automatically. You stay signed in across visits until you explicitly log out from the Account menu.
